AI credits and usage
AI credits are the currency that powers every AI feature in Julexis — generating posts, analysing documents, creating images and video. Your plan includes a monthly allowance, and there is nothing to set up.
What are AI credits and how do they work?
AI credits are the currency used to power all AI features in Julexis. Each plan includes monthly credits that reset on the 1st of each month, and one credit equals approximately 1,000 tokens processed by our AI models.
Do I need my own OpenAI API key?
No. Julexis manages AI access for you, server-side. You never have to create an account with an AI provider, paste in an API key or pay a separate AI bill — everything is covered by the credits included in your plan.
How many credits do I get with my plan?

If you run out before the month is over, you can buy top-up packs of 1,000, 3,000, 5,000 or 10,000 credits. Top-up credits never expire, unlike the monthly allowance.

Why does document analysis use so many credits?
Document analysis uses our most powerful AI model to produce an accurate, detailed reading of your client documents. To prevent excessive usage, each client is limited to 2 document analyses per month.
What happens when I run out of credits?
When your credits are depleted, AI features become temporarily unavailable until they reset on the 1st of the next month. If you don't want to wait, you can purchase additional credit packs in Settings and continue immediately.
How can I check my remaining credits?
Go to Settings and look for the AI Credits section at the top. It shows your remaining credits, the percentage you've used and the date your credits reset. A warning appears automatically when you are running low.
