Managing social connections

Most connection problems come down to one thing: the social network remembers whoever was logged in last in your browser. This page explains how to make sure the right account gets connected.

How do I connect the same social platform for different clients?

When managing multiple clients, you may need to connect different accounts from the same social network (e.g., different TikTok accounts for different clients). Before connecting a new account, make sure you're logged into the correct social media account in your browser. If the wrong account appears during connection, use the 'Open [Platform] to Logout' button in our connection modal to log out first, then proceed with the connection.

Why does the wrong account appear when I try to connect a social network?

Social networks remember your last logged-in session in your browser. If you previously connected Client A's TikTok account, the same account may appear when connecting Client B. This is a limitation of how social platforms handle OAuth authentication. To connect a different account, you need to log out from that social network first.

How do I log out from a social network before connecting a different account?

When clicking 'Reconnect' for a platform, you'll see an 'Open [Platform] to Logout' button. Click this to open the social network in a new window where you can manually log out. After logging out, close that window and click 'Continue' to connect with the correct account. Alternatively, you can open the social network (TikTok, X, Threads, etc.) in another browser tab and log out there before starting the connection process in Julexis.

Are there platform-specific instructions for switching accounts?

Yes:

  • TikTok — click your profile icon (top right) → Log out.
  • X (Twitter) — the logout page opens automatically.
  • Threads — click the menu icon (bottom left, three lines) → Log out.
  • Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest — these platforms usually show an account selector during the connection process, so you can choose or switch accounts directly.

What should I do if I'm still having trouble connecting the right account?

If the logout button doesn't resolve it, use a clean browser session:

  1. Open an incognito or private browser window.
  2. Log into the social network with the correct account.
  3. Start the connection process from Julexis in that same incognito window.

Clearing your browser cookies for that social network also works.
